The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the Jharkhand TET 2026 Notification on its official website jac.jharkhand.gov.in. This notification contains all important details such as eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and application process.
The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) is a state-level examination. Every year, JAC conducts the Jharkhand TET Exam, to check the eligibility of candidates who want to become teachers in primary (Class 1 to 5) and upper primary (Class 6 to 8) schools across Jharkhand.
The Jharkhand TET 2026 online application form link will be activated from 21 April 2026 on its official portal. Candidates can register and pay the application fee until 21 May 2026. Candidates are advised to submit the online application form before the last date.

Jharkhand TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For Paper I (Class 1 to 5)
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- There is no upper age limit specified.
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th) with at least 50% marks,
- OR
- Must have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education,
- OR
- Must have completed a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
For Paper II (Class 6 to 8)
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
- There is no upper age limit specified.
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed a 2-year Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education,
- OR
- Candidates with Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc / B.A) along with B.Ed (Integrated) are also eligible.
